Star Medik has taken part in the National Pediatric & Neonatal Retrieval Workshop at ACC Penang General Hospital. This workshop purpose is to train healthcare workers in MOH Malaysia that are involved in caring for acutely ill children and neonates in regards to concepts, knowledge and skills in retrieval and transporting in the acute care settings. It involved participants from various hospitals around Malaysia in Critical Care Service for Paediatric and Neonates that includes: Paediatric Intensivist, Neonatologist, Paediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist, Paediatrician, Medical Officers, Nurses and AMO.
STAR MEDIK shows their support by providing equipment HAMILTON-T1 transport ventilator for them to use during practical skill stations and mock transportation. The main highlight is that HAMILTON-T1 is used during mock air transportation by helicopter. This workshop is also guided by special trainers from Australia Retrieval Teams which is NETS (Newborn & pediatric Emergency Transport Services).
