Can anyone undergo Metabolic / Diabetic Surgery ?
1) We will ensure only those with acceptable risk to undergo the surgery and treatment. Malaysia’s lab and medical assessments are compulsory before departing to Istanbul.
2) Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Sinan will review the result of the pre-departure medical assessments. Only if there is no obstacle to undergoing surgery will the patient be allowed to fly.
3) Dr. Nordina Abd Latif, President of the Malaysian Diabetic Association Malacca Branch, is leading Star Medik Medical Assessment Team.
4)After the assessment is considered OK, the patient needs to pay the amount due, and the patient will get the surgery slot in Istanbul.
5)Another comprehensive medical check-up will be conducted for the second time in Istanbul to ensure the patient fits to undergo the operation. Only if everything is ok, then the procedure will proceed.
6)If surgery is not allowed, Star Medik will return 80% of the total payment to the patient.
How about post-surgery support ?
1) After the laparoscopy surgery, the patient will recover at the hospital for about three (3) days. Since it is not open surgery, the recovery time will be short.
2) The patient MUST follow all recommendations from the doctors, like the medicine and diet.
3) After being discharged from the hospital, patient has an additional two (2) nights to rest at the hotel and has to undergo further observation before flying back to Malaysia.

5) In Malaysia, we will have a medical support team to give advice and consultation. For additional wound dressing, etc., the patient may use clinics at their expenses.
